Barazek sesame cookies

Zeena Bakery’s barazek are traditional Syrian sesame cookies, crafted thin and baked until golden. Halfway between a delicate cookie and a crispy cracker, they are crunchy and not too sweet.

Each cookie is made with a buttery semolina dough coated with toasted sesame seeds on top and crushed pistachios on the bottom. 

Barazek can be enjoyed as a light treat throughout the day. They pair especially well with a warm cup of black tea, but they are versatile - they could even be used on a charcuterie board.
